I’ve just been to Norway on the Marella Explorer (August/September 2019). Here are some photos from the onboard drinks menu which show what is included in the Inclusive Drinks Package. It also shows the cost of other drinks and their upgraded Premium Drinks Package.
Beer and Wine
Non Alcoholic Cocktails, Liqueurs, Port and Sherry
Coffee, Soft Drinks, Water, Mixers
Premium Drinks Package upgrade
Inclusive drinks were only available between 10am and 2am. Bars, tables and waiters were plentiful aboard the Explorer and we had no problems being served. There is a decent selection to choose from given that the standard drinks package is included in the price of the cruise.
The white wines were fine. The dining room waiters would tend to top up your glass with a completely different wine to the one you were drinking. Ordering ‘Prosecco’ just meant you were given sparkling wine. I tried a couple of the cocktails, the Cosmopolitan was good but I regret paying £2.50 for a Chocolate Espresso Martini which was a bit bitter. The bottled beers were cold and tasty, I’d never tried San Miguel Fresca before and it was good. Some bars (Indigo, for example) did not serve coffee drinks despite them being on the menu.
All in all, good value. The only drinks I paid for the whole cruise were one premium cocktail and one bottle of water to take ashore.
